Humble Weekly Sale: Serious Sam

After Humble Weekly Sale’s Telltale Games Bundle offered a strong line-up of point-and-click puzzle games with a cinematic touch, the newest bundle includes the whole action-heavy range of the Serious Sam titles.

Bloodletting for the minimum price
For no minimum price (other than 1 Dollar if you want the Steam keys, which is actually necessary for some games as they don’t come DRM-free), the FPS classics Serious Sam: The First Encounter and Serious Sam: The Second Encounter in their HD remade versions sit side by side with the fun turn-based RPG-actioner Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, the action-platformers Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack! (in which you play the bad guy chasing the titular hero) and Serious Sam Double D (which except for Kamikaze Attack have already been featured in the Indie Royale Xmas Bundle 2.0. Last but not least, the Serious Sam Public Test 2 is thrown in for good measure, giving players an idea of how it all started.

Even more gore above the average price
By paying a bit more than 4 dollars (the average bidding price at the moment), the fun and bloody FPS sequels Serious Sam II (which I played ages ago and I consider to be the best with lots of great cutscenes) and Serious Sam 3: BFE (which I already covered in the Indie Royale Valentine’s Bundle 2.0).

Extras are on the light side of things, as there’s actually only the soundtrack of Serious Sam 3 to be unlocked. Still with lots of these games for less than a fiver if you want, there’s certainly nothing wrong getting this bundle, especially since part of the money goes to the developers themselves for getting the fourth game out! And who wouldn’t want that in an age with overcomplicated controls and overlong cutscenes? Just judging from the screenshot, this looks more than badass. So don’t wait to get it while you can before the offer expires in less than two days.

Checking out the trailers also brings back lots of memories soaked in gore and laughter…
