Choosing a title for a themed collection of games is never easy, so this time with the Chosen 2 Bundle, Indie Royale decided to let people vote on what they want in their compilation, i.e. the voting was done before, and now this should be the cream of the crop.
Included are lightshow arcade twinstick shooter Really Big Sky, breathtakingly beautiful planet exploration evolution game Eufloria, poker/Yahtzee fantasy RPG hybrid Runespell: Overture and the classic turn-based RPG parodies Cthulhu Saves The World and Breath of Death VII.
Choose what you play
Not only is the selection quite varied, there are also numerous bonus features included with the soundtracks of Really Big Sky, Eufloria and Cthulhu Saves The World. Having additional text adventures for Cthulhu is also a nice touch. Paying a bit more like 8 dollars also unlocks the fun chiptune album Rise of the Obsidian Interstellar by Disasterpeace.
Fun by the bucketload
As far as past gaming experiences go, I can safely say that Cthulhu Saves The World is a very accomplished parody with genuinely funny lines, even if the gameplay is at times a bit repetitive and has difficulty spikes. But this comes with the RPG territory… Other than that, Eufloria and Really Big Sky look especially enticing, while Runespell: Overture seems like an original idea well executed. From Breath of Death VII I’d expect the same hilarious jokes and nostalgic look as in the Cthulhu game.
Don’t wait, simply buy
Even if it would have been nice to have another developer on board than two Zeboyd games, there’s no denying this is another strong entry of indie bundle goodness from Indie Royale. And who knows what might be unlocked in the next 5 or so days, as the team always seems to be open to some additional content before the offer expires. But don’t wait and get it now if you want to experience some original indie gaming.
No trailer this time with this bundle, so we’ll cut to the chase with the invididual videos…
