Groupees: Meridian4 Mega Bundle

Sometimes, reviewing indie bundles can be a relaxing break from writing about recent retail or download releases, as they’re quite easy to handle with only a few titles on offer. But with Groupees‘ newest Meridian4 Mega Bundle, this is a completely different story.

With 27 games to choose from and 5 unlocked titles, it’s difficult not to lose oneself in the amount of content, so maybe the best way to give an overview is to categorize them: Arcade-shooter fans will be served with car-carnage racers Wasteland Angel, Post Apocalyptic Mayhem + DLC or happy-go-driving Crash Time II and battle tank shooter Tank Universal, twin-stick-shooter Biology Battle or quirky FPS Penguins Arena: Sedna’s World, while fans of zombie-slaying-and-slashing will be happy with Trapped Dead and Deadly 30.

More sci-fi fare can be found in strategy titles Stellar Impact and Space Trader: Merchant Marine or in more action-heavy shooting affairs Chrome, Chrome: SpecForce and Greed: Black Border. Fantasy is also a prevalent theme in the RPGs and strategy games Grotesque Tactics: Evil Heroes, Grotesque Tactics 2 – Dungeons and Donuts, Holy Avatar vs. The Maidens of the Dead, Larva Mortus and The Chosen.

For those who like their games with a historical touch, FPS titles The Stalin Subway, The Stalin Subway 2: Red Veil or RTS games Pacific Storm, Pacific Storm: Storm Allies and Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood will fit the bill.

Last but not least, puzzle fans will have their dosis of brain-teasers with Chains, Astroslugs, Obulis and horror-adventure paralysis with Scratches – Director’s Cut and Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches or sci-fi dystopian imagery with Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals, while simulation aficionados will be content with Bridge Constructor, Hot Dog King, Bus Driver and Big Rig Europe.

It’s obviously difficult to beat the quantity on display here. Not all of them might offer the same quality, especially with some dodgy visuals, but with the building model of Groupees and a minimum price tag of only 1 dollar, there’s enough to please everyone. It’s too bad that most of these games are Steam-only, and a bit more extras like soundtracks would have been nice, but considering how much these games cost in isolation, there’s simply no reason why not to get this bundle. So don’t wait until the offer expires in less than a day.
