It’s been a bit quiet about the promising client GOG started some time ago, but today the GOG Galaxy servers will be put to the test.
Starting today (Thursday, February 12) at 4:00 PM GMT, GOG users who have copies of either Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000, Double Dragon Trilogy and/or The Witcher Adventure Game, are asked to join the GOG team and who else is online to literally bring the servers down, or at least see how much the online gaming feature can take.
Having already played the Double Dragon Trilogy on GOG (review coming very soon!), I can safely say that it’s certainly fun, but not without its frustrations when finding people and encountering disconnection issues. However, the main concept of bringing people together in this way and also by including all Steam players is still intriguing, so hopefully the test will improve stability and reliance of the client.
So make sure to join the fun (or frustrations) and comment in this news.
