If you want to grab some shooting fun games for a bargain price or even want to get one for free, now’s the time with GOG‘s Silver Bullets Sale.
Sometimes the best way to get away from the frustrations of life is simply to blow something or someone up in virtual reality, as it doesn’t do any harm, and we all know how peacefully gamers are compared to those who beat up office equipment or other people.
But enough social criticism, let’s have a look at what GOG has on offer with a sale of selected FPS titles:
Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000
Sin Gold
Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition
Shogo Mobile Armor Division
Unreal Tournament 2004
Rise of the Triad
The latter is also available for FREE for a very limited amount of time, as GOG gives away free keys. If you haven’t created an account yet, there couldn’t be any better opportunity.
I’ve played most of these titles back in the days when they were also put on the much-feared but also laughed-at German Index. Duke 3D is simply a classic with lots of humor and comic violence, while it’s especially fun in multiplayer. The same can be said about Unreal Tournament 2004, a game that is maybe not that much fun in single-player with no real coherent story, but still great to play, as it has many cool modes and mods. Currently I’m playing Aliens vs. Predator, and this is quite atmospheric in singleplayer and very fast entertainment online. Sin is a title I could never really make working on my PC with the retail version, so this is an excellent opportunity to try it out on GOG.
