Dead Synchronicity is another point-and-clicker published by Daedalic Entertainment, but developed by Fictiorama Studios, that has a much darker twist with its post-apocalyptic content.
What is the most striking about this game is that it’s quite graphic in its depiction of violence, something not many point-and-click adventure games can say of themselves, especially not from the company that brought more humorous adventures to the masses. But then again, this is a Kickstarter project by another developer. The art style is also interesting, being slightly reminiscent of those posters in Bioshock or abstract paintings. Now if the mature topics of a dystopian future are subtly handled with a good story and memorable characters, this sleeper hit could just be another opportunity for the German company to show that it can do more than slapstick, puns or Dark Eye adaptations.
If you like to create stories of your own, GOG gives you the opportunity to craft a 140-character dystopian story inspired by the image they posted in the Twitter announcement. By using the tag #dystotweet, you can win some developers’ goodies and 9,99 Dollars GOG codes. But be quick, as the contest only lasts until today, Monday, April 13th at 11:59 AM GMT.
GOG also runs a 10% launch discount until Friday, April 17, at 9:59 AM GMT and features the separately sold soundtrack as well.
The PC game is out now on GOG and Steam. But there’s also a retail box that includes the DRM-free version, soundtrack, a manual, and poster.
