You probably know that I love indie games, even if I find the term “indie” becoming a bit tiresome, and there are some developers thinking too much of themselves, but that’s another story. Being very fond of GOG is also no surprise, so why don’t we have an Indie Piñata?
The Indie Piñata promo includes many interesting titles like Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, the Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition, To the Moon, Papers, Please, Gone Home, or Broken Age, to name but a few of my personal highlights (some I already reviewed, some I absolutely have to play soon).
Now sales aren’t anything special, but this one is. The promo titles are actually only one part of the deal, as the real one is buying a Piñata for 3 Dollars (or the equivalent sum in your currency). It’s as if striking the name-giving papier-mâché horse to see what’s inside, i.e. unlocking a surprise indie game that can range from 9.99 to 44.99 Dollars worth. Of course this could be hit or miss, but then again most of GOG’s indie titles are pretty good, and they make sure that you don’t get a game you already have in your library. So it remains a win-win (save money) situation.
The offer still stands until 18 September, 9:59 AM GMT, so be quick and whack that fake horse stuffed with indie gaming goodness!
