Exclusives on digital marketplaces are difficult to get, but the Only on GOG Sale shows that it’s still possible to do this DRM-free.
It’s no secret that I’ve been a big fan of the DRM-free gaming (and movies) platform GOG, regularly featuring releases (and also using referral links). The reason for this is not only, because those working there are really nice people, but also because they do something for the history of gaming: preserving, restoring games that time either forgot or games that publishers don’t seem to care about anymore, at least not to bring them back in retail form, something that sadly becomes increasingly rare.
Many of the titles featured in this sale have already been covered in various forms, either by news or review articles. What they all have in common though is that they’re exclusive to GOG, so Steam-only or other digital platform fans will have missed out on them.
