Happy New Year with GOG and Interplay sale

Happy New Year to all! While last year’s last blog entry was reserved for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, this year’s first is gaming-related again. But there’s also some sci-fi movie love to be found in GOG’s Happy New Year with Interplay sale.

The whole Interplay catalogue on DRM-free GOG is available with 60% off, including the following titles:

Battle Chess Special Edition
Castles 1+2

Freespace 2
Die By The Sword + Limb From Limb
Dragon Wars
Earthworm Jim 1+2
Earthworm Jim 3D
Evolva
F/A-18E Super Hornet
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Invictus: In the Shadow of Olympus
Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business
Kingdom: The Far Reaches
Kingpin: Life of Crime
Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader

MDK
MDK 2
Messiah
Prehistorik 1+2
Redneck Rampage Collection
Sacrifice
Screamer
Screamer 2
Shattered Steel
Shogo: Mobile Armor Division
Star Trek: 25th Anniversary
Star Trek: Judgement Rites
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
Star Trek: Starfleet Command Gold Edition
Stonekeep
Subwar 2050 Complete
Toonstruck
VR Soccer ’96

With so many titles to choose from, it’s not easy to pick the best. But my particular highlights (played back in the days or want to play/review soon) are on-rails shooter/adventure hybrid Cyberia, space-sim Descent: Freespace, platformers Earthworm Jim 1+2, action-adventures Giants: Citizen Kabuto, MDK, MDK 2, Messiah, FPS Redneck Rampage, and point-and-click adventure game Toonstruck. The Star Trek games should also be good classic point-and-clicker fun and come highly recommended.

The sale is on until Sunday, January 3 10:59 PM GMT, so grab the cheap games while you can. And if you find any other noteworthy game you’d like me to review, let me know.
