Rhythm action and RPG games don’t have to be exclusive, as Kasedo Games‘ The Metronomicon shows.
Music games are always great, and this one even has a a real story. Even if the concept of dungeons looking like discos and monsters being musically powered up will make the skin of every high fantasy fan crawl, it should suffice to set the stage of a very unusual title. It’s also worth mentioning that PS3/4 Rock Band Guitars, XB Rock Band Guitars, and even USB Dance Pads are supported, which should add to the party fun as well.
Activating spells and abilities on the fly while battling enemies in synchronized dance performances already sounds awesome, but when the track list is also varied, ranging from rock to indie pop and techno beats from the electronic, synthwave, and chiptune artists, this can only mean an exhilarating experience. Switching between tanking, healing, buffing, and damage-dealing classes adds strategy and offers customized play styles, while locations like a medieval party yacht and a rockstar-haunted castle look even more entertaining than the bonkers out-of-this world creature designs.
The game is now available on PC with a 10% discount that will last until October 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
