GOG is always good when it comes to sales and freebies, so being able to get Alexey Bokulev’s indie RPG-strategy mix Eador: Genesis for free is as much welcome as being offered some bargain prices for the rest of the Eador series.
Eador: Genesis isn’t a new game, as it was already released in 2009, while GOG had it on sale in the GOG Goes Russian…with love sale in 2015. It kind of passed me by, but now that it’s for free (at least until May 13, 13:00 PM UTC, so less than 48 hours from now), the proposition to try out the game is much more enticing.
I still remember playing Heroes of Might & Magic (can’t even remember which one), and it got me hooked, although I only played the demo. For those who’re not familiar with the series and therefore the gameplay of Eador: It’s a turn-based strategy game set in a fantasy world, and it’s up to the player to decide where to go, which lands/cities to conquer, enemies to fight, weapons to buy, and to level up. In short: great and addictive fun if you like a bit of a tough challenge. So get it before the offer expires. The only thing you need is creating a GOG account if you haven’t done so and add it to your library.
In order to celebrate the release of Gremlins Inc., a digital board game (more about it soon), the whole Eador series is part of a special promo that lasts until May 18th, 13:00 PM UTC (with Eador: Genesis becoming part of the sale after the 48 hours expire) with the following games:
