Overview of (blog) life in March 2018

March was a pretty busy month, packed full with gaming news, but also a few other articles.

Unlike February with 23 empty slot days, the daily blogging routine finally took over, with only 3 days that were left for recreational purposes, although with one exception of two articles on one day, one could actually say 2 days were without content. The regular overviews were:

Netflix watchlist: February 2018
New additions to the media collection in February 2018

It was a great month for adding free games to one’s online library, especially since Amazon Prime also provided another opportunity with a Twitch Prime account:

Amazon/Twitch Prime free games in March 2018
Humble Bundle free game “The Darkness II”
Humble Bundle free game “Spec Ops: The Line”
Humble Monthly Trove unlocks free games for a limited time

Being a monthly subscriber to Humble Monthly was also a good idea to receive more free games and some AAA titles. I’m not sure I’ll cover each new Humble Monthly, as most games aren’t revealed, but this one looked quite interesting:

Humble Bundle adds 3 more games to its Monthly Trove + April preview of Humble Bundle Monthly

Of course there were so many game releases to cover as well, this time almost exclusively indies:

The 25th Ward: The Silver Case
CHUCHEL
Fear Effect: Sedna
The Long Reach
Pyre
Q.U.B.E. 2
The Raven Remastered
Surviving Mars
Thimbleweed Park – Ransome Unbeeped DLC

GOG also released quite a few old and new games alike, the most exciting ones probably being the LEGO and Lucasfilm/LucasArts titles:

15 Days
ABZÛ
Attack of the Earthlings
The Curse of Monkey Island + Maniac Mansion
Ember
Last Day of June
LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures + LEGO Indiana Jones: The Adventure Continues + LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
The Mystery of the Druids

Finally some reviews arrived as well, this time all about Star Wars:

Shadows of the Empire
Starfighter
X-Wing Alliance
X-Wing vs. TIE-Fighter

All in all, this was an awesome month in which I loved writing as much as preparing all the texts. It was a lot of work, and March doesn’t seem to be any different as far as content is planned. So let’s hope that the planning procedure is followed by the actual implementation. Review copies are already waiting to be covered…
