May 2018 was a very gaming-focused month of blogging with some anniversaries to celebrate.
Of course movies and TV shows weren’t neglected, either, so the overviews of April and the new additions to the media collection offered some reviews, although with my new job, there was obviously less time to watch as much as in the month before:

Game releases still made up the most part of blogging, and there were some pretty fine indie games among them, actually only indie games, come to think of it:
Bastard
Infectonator 3: Apocalypse
Lake Ridden
MachiaVillain
Omensight
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition
Trailblazers
Wizard of Legend
GOG also had some interesting additions to its DRM-free library, Star Wars: Episode I Racer being the most exciting one, although another Legend Entertainment title like Mission Critical was also welcome:
Higurashi When They Cry, eden*, Sunrider series, fault
Mission Critical
Happy Stars Wars Day 2018 with GOG release “Star Wars: Episode I Racer” + Star Wars Sale
April was a time to celebrate as well, because GOG did 20 years of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 and 20 years of Unreal specials, the latter of which providing a giveaway of Unreal: Gold.
Speaking of free games, the Amazon/Twitch Prime free games in May 2018 were another great selection of all kinds of genres with high production values.
Humble Bundle didn’t only have some fun bundles, but also added more titles to its Monthly Trove, some even available for free for a limited time:

Humble CRYENGINE Bundle 2018
Humble Hooked on Multiplayer 2018 Bundle
Humble Monthly Trove unlocks 4 free games for a limited time
April was also a good month for game reviews, as 5 retro games showcased that old games can still be a lot of fun to play even today:
Earthworm Jim
Earthworm Jim 2
Earthworm Jim 3D
MDK
MDK 2
Finally due to my new job and my general experiences in writing, I thought it was a good idea to gather some thoughts about that topic with The art/act of writing: Brainstorming ideas.
Trying to juggle work and what is left of free time is always difficult, but I somehow managed to use the weekends and holidays for preparing articles in advance. So daily blogging still worked out great, even if it was stressful at times. Being able to reduce the to write/play review copies list was also welcome. June will be an interesting month, as I’ll try to publish even more game reviews and maybe try some other things as well. So stay tuned!
