With daily blogging and all kinds of articles to prepare, one should also take the time to see how much one has achieved so far, and this time it’s more than 200 followers via email.
Two years ago I wrote about the 100+ followers milestone and having reached twice the number is quite an achievement for a blog that started out small without the ambition to reach any goals other than giving me the opportunity to find a platform to share my writing. Of course this still can’t compare to the thousands or millions of websites/blogs that maybe even earn some money, but it still makes me feel happy and a bit proud.
Taking into account that the number of followers could just have decreased as well, this isn’t something to take for granted. In a digital world where Twitter followers can add and delete you from their list in the blink of an eye (probably for PR purposes most of the time), having a regular readership is simply great, and I’d like to thank everyone of you. I know I’ve done this with every achievement, but this doesn’t make it any less meaningful. Maybe the next milestone of 400 followers will be reached sometime in the near future (it already has on my Twitter page), but we’ll see.
