Twice Circled‘s Megaquarium gives theme park simulation fans the opportunity to literally dive into more aquatic surroundings.
Bullfrog’s Theme Park as a source of inspiration is clear to see, as the visuals are cartoon-like and the main idea to start small with a few attractions and then grow in scope is also prominent. Only this time it’s not rollercoaster or other fun fair rides, but small and big cases of glass that house various forms of water life. With 97 species, there should be enough to choose from if one has the money and resources to manage new additions and keep them alive. Upgrading the displays, but also doing research to add new livestock is essential, but of course this isn’t all.
People have to be taken into consideration, too: the ones who feed the animals, clean the tanks, and do all kinds of other park-related work, and the others who come visit who also need special attention in the form of seats in front of the aquarium, food and drinks as well as toilet facilities, while giving them a chance to buy a memorabilia in a gift shop might also be a good idea. A campaign mode slowly introduces everything one needs to know about the types of food or water temperatures the individual animals need or more, but also offers specific goals and challenges in 10 levels. If one feels comfortable enough with the mechanics, then the sandbox building mode should be tackled next, and with 100 different objects to place, including various decorations, but also more important parts of the park, like a pump system or water dispensers for guests, this will provide plenty of opportunities to build the perfect sea theme park one always wanted to go to.
The game is out now on PC with a 10% launch discount that will last until September 20th, 7 am UTC.
