Spooky Doorway’s micro adventure The Darkside Detective receives another free case with Baits Motel and therefore concludes the season.
Last year I reviewed the original point-and-click adventure game, but I somehow missed out on two free DLCs, the Christmas special Buy Hard and the mini-sode Polterguys. Now Baits Motel joins the DLC giveaways and it serves as a finale.
Of course this is more than just awesome news, as the writing of the original episodes was excellent and still providing content for a great adventure game is simply amazing. Fingers crossed that there will be a second season, because unlike so many other indie adventure games that desperately try to be funny or mature, this was and still is one of the best released so far. As Halloween isn’t too far away, this might be the perfect time to support the developers and let them know that all the hard work is worth it and that the investigation of the supernatural should continue in the future. BTW, I also found out that the game is featured in the The Art of Point-and-Click Adventure Games Bitmap book and a Pop Vinyl McQueen figure is also in the making.
