Humble Bundle offers another great limited-time freebie with Appeal’s open-world sci-fi remake Outcast – Second Contact.
I already covered the game in this game release news, so I won’t go much into detail. Suffice it to say that it’s a beautifully-looking remaster of the original 1999 title that I remember to be an epic action-adventure game with a killer soundtrack and an immersive world unlike any other. As a new 1.1 version showed up later that I sadly haven’t played yet, it was an even bigger surprise to see an even more refined title hit current gen consoles and PCs. Of course I still haven’t found the time to play either of these, but at least this Humble offer is a way to add it to one’s collection, even if there are a few things one should be aware of.
The game can only be claimed for free on the Humble Store website until tomorrow, November 24 at 10 a.m.. Unfortunately one won’t receive a Steam code and the game won’t stay in one’s Humble games library forever. It’s completely DRM-free, which is a good thing, but it’s only possible to download it until November 29th, 2018 at 10:00 AM Pacific. So one should better keep it somewhere safe.
