Overview of (blog) life in April 2019

April 2019 was a fresh start for blogging and going on with life despite a tragic setback.

In Memoriam: My cat Greedo (Schinken/Bacon) had to be written, even if it meant that the blog was put on hiatus for a while. I’m still not over the death of my cat, but as it’s always the case with writing, it can help despite being quite difficult to put feelings into words.

There were many overviews that made it easier to get back into writing and focus on more fun things:

Free games weren’t as numerous, but having a Nintendo Switch subscription for free was and still is an interesting proposition for those who have Amazon Prime and are registered on Twitch.tv:

Amazon/Twitch Prime free games in April 2019 + Nintendo Switch Online 12-month membership

The Humble Square Enix Collective Bundle was one of the few bundles that didn’t rely on the same indie games or other publishers Humble Bundle seemed to have churned out for so long.

There were obviously more game releases than I covered, but these would have to do in April:

The 7th Guest: 25th Anniversary Edition
“Tangledeep: Legend of Shara” DLC

The same held true for GOG, with two modern classics and other titles that weren’t DRM-free on the digital market before:

Hitman: Blood Money + Hitman: Absolution
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden

Despite not having been as productive as usual because of vacation time, April 2019 was a much better month for blogging. At the moment I feel as if daily blogging has become a possibility again, but if real life takes its toll, it becomes clear what is more important. Still, with lots of photos I took during my stay in Hamburg and a trip to the Heide Park, there might be something worth posting about if time allows it.
