Game release: “Dungeons 3 – Famous Last Words” DLC (PC,PS4,Xbox One)

Realmforge Studios‘ and Kalypso Media‘s newest expansion Famous Last Words offers even more dungeon building and fantasy battling opportunities for Dungeons 3.

The Dungeons series is one of the longest-running imitator games around, a spiritual successor to Bullfrog’s Dungeon Master games, and I’ve already written quite a few pieces about the titles, like Dungeons 2: A Game of Winter, the Dungeons 2 giveaway or Dungeons 3 pre-order. Without actually coming around playing them, they’re still on my list, mainly because I loved the original so much.

What else is left if one has already conquered every fantasy land as an evil dungeon master? Before boredom sets in, Thalya, the right/left hand side of Evil and the narrator (!) start to battle to see who is the best in building dungeons and training monsters. It’s certainly a unique meta-fictional concept, but it remains to be seen how much the humor can carry the game in the campaign. 3 challenging maps, a new boss enemy in the form of the Narrator, and a new creep type (the Pen Pushers) should be enough reason to revisit the third Dungeons game.

The DLC is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with the PC version being available with a 15% launch discount that will last until tomorrow, May 24th, 12pm UTC.
