It’s been more than a year since the GOG release of Battlestar Galactica Deadlock and thus more time has passed since the original digital release. Now the newest addition adds Season Two with lots of features and content, while still staying true to the fight of the battleship against the Cylons which has been so prominent in the original TV show, movie, and the reboot series.
A new story campaign entails 10 fully-voiced story missions and 13 resource missions, including new music and story cinematics, too. Organizing attacks can be done in a new war room, adding to the realism of the sci-fi show, with new ships and squadrons plus a better Cylon AI making each enemy encounter an exciting proposition. Pausing the game and thinking about the next steps in battles might not have worked for the captain of the Galactica, but it certainly helps here, making the game the best thing that could happen to anyone who has played the Homeworld games (see Homeworld: Remastered Collection and Homeworld: Emergence reviews), especially with great dynamics in battles and the cinematic presentation.
The DLC is out now on PC, and if one wants to buy the base game and the previously released DLC, then one can get them with discounts of up to 70% in the GOG promo sale until September 5th, 2pm UTC.
