Two PlayWay fun simulation games make it to GOG with Big Cheese Studio’s Cooking Simulator and Noble Muffins‘s Thief Simulator.
It hasn’t been long since GOG acquired House Flipper and the Garden Flipper DLC, but if you thought these simulators were wacky, then you should try Cooking Simulator which tasks the player to become the ultimate chef. Of course it’s not only about knowing the right kitchen tools, but also how to use the kitchen.
Cooking and learning with over 60 recipes and 120 ingredients, it’s not all about dry education, as realistic physics can be misused as well to wreak havoc in the kitchen. This is obviously more fun in the sandbox modes, but there is a career mode in addition to an XP system, too, that unlocks more skills and perks. A cooking simulator with RPG elements? Who thought that simulators can’t feature any innovations? Speaking of creativity in cooking: GOG celebrates the release of Cooking Simulator with a special screenshot contest. For more info, check out the website. The contest will run until September 8, 2019, 11:59 PM CEST, while the game is 15% off until September 6th, 1pm UTC.
If you thought that this wasn’t crazy enough, then there’s Thief Simulator which is about breaking in houses in the neighborhood, stealing everything and getting away with it. Observing and gathering information and then entering and exiting houses unseen might be a bit too much for most people, but it’s all rather tongue in cheek (after all, one can carry around an Xbox console and a TV in one inventory).
One can even disassemble a car and sell its parts at a shop, and of course one has to know all the tools a thief needs, like something for lockpicking or hacking. Always being sneaky or on the run from the police adds to tension, so if one wants to experience the life of a thief without legal consequences, then Thief Simulator is probably the best way to do it. With a 33% launch discount that will last until September 6th, 1pm UTC, it’s almost a steal (sorry for that!).
