GOG release: “Bound by Flame”

Spiders‘s and Focus Home Interactive‘s fantasy action-RPG Bound by Flame starts slashing DRM-free on GOG.

Bound by Flame tells a typical fantasy story about a mercenary possessed by a flame demon who has to rise against seven Ice Lords and their deadly army. It might all sound a bit Darksiders, but there are more RPG and character classes elements to it, plus lots of decision-time, as all choices lead to consequences, mainly if one listens to the beast within and unleashes it or rejects the demonic influences and tries to stay human.

One can freely develop one’s abilities and combat style with three skill trees, so one either follows the path of the Fighter, the Ranger, or the Pyromancer. It’s also possible to recruit companions who fight alongside the hero and build a love/hate relationship depending on the course of actions one takes (maybe reminiscent of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen?). It all looks rather violent and lots of fun, especially with epic boss fights and great enemy designs, so what’s not to love about a game that is already 5 years old?

Bound by Flame was originally released in 2014 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 80% launch discount that will last until September 11th, 1pm UTC.
