Screambox Studio‘s and Zodiac Interactive‘s bullet hell shooter AngerForce: Reloaded makes an explosive entrance on GOG.
AngerForce: Reloaded is one of those action titles that are typical of the genre in that the story is only an excuse for blowing stuff up. So of course it’s again the bad robots who have rebelled against the humans and have to be stopped, this time in the 19th century. Boasting cartoon visuals that hark back to the good old 90ies arcade times, there are still some nice 3D special effects thanks to the free-form deformation technique. But one obviously wants to get into the shooting right away, which offers enough to sink one’s scrolling-shooter-fan’s teeth into.
One can choose between different characters that can be improved and enhanced via randomly generated abilities, while more upgrades complement these, too, making for a personalized style of play. Of course local co-op play is implemented as well, so that one can share the fun or bullet hell frustration with a friend. Over 10 giant bosses in 7 stages, 4 characters, each with their own back story, plus a soundtrack with 20 tracks should make this more than just a few hours of fun.
AngerForce: Reloaded was originally released in September 2017 and is now DRM-free on GOG with a 55% launch discount that will last until September 27, 1pm UTC.
