Game release: “The Pedestrian” (PC)

Skookum Arts‘ 2.5D puzzler The Pedestrian offers a unique spin on the public sign system.

Trying to stand out from the crowd of indie puzzle games today is rather difficult, so one should either have a unique gameplay idea, interesting storytelling or a memorable presentation. While it’s not exactly clear what the story about a small stick figure inside public signs can be, it’s a concept that hasn’t been done in that way before. The main idea is to arrange and connect various windows or nodes that work as part of a public sign system, traverse and manipulate them in order to progress.

There isn’t much more to this (and it doesn’t need to be more), except that the combination of minimalist graphics and 3D environments is an eye-catcher, while the gameplay relies on figuring out how something works by keen observation and creativity, which is always a winner in puzzle games.

The game is out now on PC with a 10% launch discount that lasts until February 5, 2020, at 6 PM UTC. The soundtrack can also be bought separately.
