New additions to the media collection in January 2020

January was a very quiet month for collecting, but still had a few interesting new items to put on the shelves.

Every EDGE magazine that (mostly) arrives on time is a good start of the new year…

… while every damaged Retrogamer mag is a clear indication that Your Favourite Magazines didn’t think much about their New Year’s resolutions…

The Star Wars theme continued with the LEGO magazine…

… and very cool gifts from my girlfriend for our anniversary!

It’s not Star Wars, but StarCraft II is more than worth the time spent on the RTS battlefield. Only too bad that I bought the original and the first expansion a long time ago… and now it’s cheaper to get them again with the third one instead of buying it separately. Despite purchasing a code and not really the game on a disc, the packaging artwork is still reason enough for the retail version.

Blizzard simply knows what it’s doing with its addictive gameplay, which can also be seen in Diablo III: Eternal Collection I’ve been playing with my girlfriend since I bought it, showcasing that couch co-op play works great on the console version. I’m not sure when I’ll have the time to dive into the VR world of Skyrim, but I’ll definitely give it a try soon.

I’ve already covered this 3D BD in the appropriate review, but suffice it to say that I’m glad I didn’t pay more than 10 EUR for it…

That’s already it for last month’s new additions to the collection, but sometimes one should simply save some money and spend the time on playing/watching/reading through all the stuff accumulating dust on the shelves.
