GOG provides easy access to 26 free games in “stay at home” initiative

Due to the current Corona virus situation, GOG contributes to the “stay at home” initiative and promotes 26 free games from its DRM-free catalogue.

At the moment health safety is one everyone’s mind, and even though I’ve not covered the topic in any form so far (despite living in a German district with the highest number of infected people), there’s no way around the fact that staying indoors is the best way to cope with it. While many people might have prejudices against gamers who seem to be used to not going outside much and instead spend most of the time playing games, keeping oneself occupied this way isn’t such a bad idea at all right now.

For many GOG customers, these 26 games from various genres might not be new, as they’ve already been freebies for some time. I’ve covered some of them in individual articles, like in the GOG free games “The Lords of Midnight”+”Doomdark’s Revenge”, “CAYNE” chat review with Later Levels blog, or GOG free game “Jill of the Jungle: The Complete Trilogy” + Epic Games sale pieces. GOG has simply collected them on this page for easier access and a better overview. These aren’t any limited-time offers, so feel free to browse through them and enjoy something you like. The most important thing: Stay home and stay safe!

Being an avid gamer, cinemaniac, and bookworm in addition to other things the internet and new media present, I'm also very much into DIY music, rock and pop in particular. Writing short or longer pieces about anything that interests me has always made me happy. As both an editor for German website "Adventure-Treff" and UK website "Future Sack", I like to write reviews and news about recent developments in the movies, games and book industry.
