GOG free games: “Eye of the Beholder Trilogy”

GOG celebrates Dungeons & Dragons games with Westwood Associates’ and SSI’s RPG freebies Eye of the Beholder Trilogy plus a special sale.

It’s easy to forget that GOG doesn’t only offer more and more AAA games and indie titles in DRM-free form, but also curates classic gaming as well. With only one day to go, here’s just a quick overview of what the Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection One, including the first-person RPGs Eye of the Beyolder Trilogy entails. I can actually cut it short by refering to my Forgotten Realms on GOG article from way back in 2015 when three collections made it to the store.

Eye of the Beholder, Eye of the Beholder II: The Legend of Darkmoon, and Eye of the Beholder III: Assault on Myth Drannor are all part of the package and provide hours of classic dungeon crawler fun and sometimes frustration. Being influential in so many ways to modern developers and companies, it’s nice to share these with more people. The offer is only valid until tomorrow, June 19, 2020, at 5 PM UTC.

In addition, there’s a huge Dungeons & Dragons promo sale with many all-time classics like the Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale or Neverwinter Nights series, plus Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition, which is always on people’s TOP 10 lists when it comes to CRPGs. The sale will last until June 25, 2020, at 5 PM UTC. These specials coincide with the D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage event, which takes place online from June 18-20, 2020, and will raise money for Red Nose Day to help children affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
