Game release: “Neon Abyss – Launch Edition” (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch)

Veewo Games and Team17‘s rogue-lite action-platformer Neon Abyss in its limited-time Launch Edition offers frantic and colorful run-and-gun mayhem.

Greek mythology doesn’t only make for good fantasy themes, but also for stranger storylines. In this case, one plays as a member of the Grim Squad, a task force initiated by the lord of the Underworld Hades, that is to infiltrate the Abyss and kill the New Gods. Being connected to Hades has its advantages, as dying means even more power.

Running and gunning through dungeons includes picking up random items with passive effects that can be stacked and combined in any way imaginable. If the action on screen isn’t already ridiculous enough with all sorts of weapons, costumes and some out-of-this-world boss fights, then being able to hatch and evolve pets that add more firepower or assist in combat with special abilities makes each playthrough even more fun. There are also silly mini-games like Piano Performances, Meditation Challenge, and Dance Competitions.

The game is out now on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch and with the Launch Edition one will also receive the The Lovable Rogues Pack DLC. This offer only lasts until July 22, 2020, at 11 PM UC, after which the base game and DLC will be sold separately.
