Recently rebranded Amazon Prime Gaming‘s free games in August 2020 are a staggeringly high number of new entries.
One really starts to question how far the service can go in terms of quantity/quality, as June 2020 and July 2020 had so many titles that it’s impossible to play them all. This time, there’s even more to add to the pile of shame, and it’s not just new SNK entries. Arcade shooters Metal Slug 2, Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad, sports game Baseball Stars 2, side-scroller brawler Sengoku 3, side-scroller shooter Ironclad, one-on-one monster basher King of the Monsters, and the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection which itself includes 24 (!) classic arcade titles are just the beginning.
In addition, there’s beat-em-up brawler Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn (see my release news), fantasy point-and-clicker The Inner World (see my review), turn-based WWII strategy game WARSAW (see my GOG release news), survival/management game Dead in Vinland (see my game release news), mystery adventure game Truberbrook (see Past gaming events: Gamescom 2018, Day 2 (games played in the public areas), run-and-gunner Blazing Chrome (see my game release news), pirate action-RPG Tempest, dark comedy action street fighting thriller Treachery in Beatdown City, and tactical RPG Chroma Squad.
All the games can be unlocked for free before September 2, 2020.
