Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games‘ surreal action-adventure Control makes its Ultimate Edition appearance.
Sometimes it’s better to wait before buying the newest game. Despite having been very excited about the newest project of the company who made Alan Wake, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and of course Quantum Break (a game that still has to be released in DRM-free form), the current poor console performance (especially the PS4) meant I wanted to hold out a bit longer. Speaking of longer, the 3-hours-long waiting queue at gamescom 2019 was even too much for me.
Be it as it may, this PC version should be the definitive version, as it contains the main game, all previously released extra content, and both DLCs The Foundation and AWE. The third-person action-adventure offers more than just a bit of surrealism, as one takes on the role of Jesse Faden who acquires supernatural abilities and discovers a world unlike any other. Fighting a corruptive presence that has taken over the Federal Bureau of Control, the constantly changing and physics-defying environments make for quite a challenge.
The game is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One with a 20% discount on the GOG version that lasts until September 15, 2020, at 12 AM UTC. There will also be retail console versions available on October 20, 2020.
