Monte Cristo and Focus Home Interactive‘s classic action-RPG package Silverfall: Complete makes its DRM-free appearance on GOG.
The action-RPG genre has had its fair share of Diablo clones, and Silverfall: Complete seems to be another example of nostalgic fun that not everyone might have played. Collecting both Silverfall and Silverfall: Earth Awakening, the complete package might not be graphically impressive anymore, but still offers many entertaining hours of sometimes gory hack-and-slash adventure time.
In the base game, one explores a world that combines fantasy with sci-fi themes, as there’s a conflict between technology and nature, manifested in cyberbiologic organics and steam-driven automatons. As one can choose between 4 races (human, elf, goblin, and troll) and has more than 130 skills and magic spells ready, there’s enough variety in combat. The expansion pack again deals with the idea of technology vs. nature, as one has to decide which side one wants to fight for. This time, one can even choose between 6 classes and one has over 156 skills and magic spells, so there’s more than enough reason to play through the game in different ways, preferably with up to 8 players via LAN (which is also possible with the first game).
Silverfall, originally released in March 2007, with its expansion following in February 2008, is now available DRM-free on GOG as Silverfall: Complete with a 75% launch discount that lasts until tomorrow, September 23, 20202, at 1 PM UTC.
