Blazing Stick and Graffiti Games‘ 3D platformer Cyber Hook tests both parkour skills as well as resistance to motion sickness in equal measure.

Anyone who hasn’t fast reflexes or who’s prone to feeling nausea in first-person will probably have a hard time enjoying this title (so it seems I’m out because of motion sickness), which is a shame, because the 3D platformer has a lot going for it.

Despite having some AI as an instructor, this is no Portal with an emphasis on storytelling and dialogues, as the only goal is to reach the end of a level as fast as possible, using a grappling hook and one’s ability to react to hazards that are not only big gaps, but enemies and blocks that have to be shot on the way with a laser finger gun. Scaling, riding walls, and jumping at the right time becomes just as important, though.

The game is out now on PC with a 15% launch discount that lasts until October 8, 2020, at 5 PM UTC.
