Epic Games Store‘s newest free games are The Chinese Room/Frictional Games‘ first-person horror exploration game Amnesia: A Machine of Pigs and Noio/Licorice/Raw Fury‘s medieval strategy title Kingdom: New Lands.

Regular readers of this blog might already be familiar with both titles, as they were featured in some articles, especially Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. I reviewed it during the Halloween gaming special week way back in 2013 and it was also a Humble Bundle freebie in 2018. Still, despite its age, it comes recommended for those who like artful horror with poetic writing.

I discussed Kingdom: New Lands in this game release news in 2016, so again it’s not the most recent title. But anyone looking for some beautiful pixel art backgrounds and medieval atmosphere should give it a try.

Both games can now be added to the Epic Games Store account for free until October 22, 2020, at 5:00 PM.
