Nicolas Meyssonnier and Headup Games‘ 3D cartoon action-platformer Pumpkin Jack is the perfect accompaniment to the Halloween season.

There can’t be enough season-themed games for Halloween, especially if the titular hero is part of the festivities and helps Satan destroying Good while traversing a world that could be on any Halloween music CD cover.

This is of course all tongue-in-cheek humor, like in the Dungeon Keeper series, although gameplay is obviously much different, mixing hack-and-slash-and-shooting, platforming and puzzle elements. This means combo attacks, various weapons that can be unlocked, and literally using Jack’s head by moving it around to solve puzzles, while one also encounters all sorts of strange but helpful creatures in the colorful cartoon world. It goes without saying that the ambient music could be used for any Halloween party.

The game is out now on PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with a 10% launch discount that lasts until November 2, 2020, at 2 PM UTC. The soundtrack can be bought separately as well.
