Bitmap Galaxy and Blowfish Studios‘ 2D platformer YesterMorrow brings the past and future together in a time travel adventure.

Time travel stories create the most inventive games, as Cris Tales (see Past gaming events: gamescom 2019, Day 1) seems to turn out to be an interesting take on the JRPG genre, and now YesterMorrow does the same for platformers. It’s about Yui who wants to prevent her world from being destroyed and her family from being kidnapped by traveling back in time the defeat the Shadows with the help of the Order of Timekeepers.

One isn’t stuck in the past, though, as one jumps between the peaceful past and corrupted future, solving puzzles and battling enemies in the process. With various special abilities and power-ups, Yui might just be able to defeat Evil, as it would be too bad to leave such a beautiful-looking world in ruins, especially if there are so many animals one can pet.

The game is out now on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with a 25% launch discount that lasts until November 12, 2020, at 2 PM UT.
