Epic Games Store‘s new free game of the week is DICE and EA‘s multiplayer action experience Star Wars Battlefront II in its Celebration Edition.
Say what you will about the downfall of the Star Wars saga with superfluous Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Episode II: Attack of the Clones, in addition to the terrible Episode VIII: The Last Jedi and nonsensical Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (not to mention the awful first season of the Mandalorean TV show). The newest interpretations of the sci-fi saga still know how to do spectacular battles on the ground and in space. So it’s not surprising that Star Wars Battlefront II delivers non-stop action set-pieces on both Imperial/New Order and Rebels/Republic sides. The Celebration Edition offers the complete package of beloved (or hated) character appearances from all 9 movies, i.e. 25 heroes in total. So maybe this is the best way to experience one’s own version of how the battles between the light and dark side of the Force should turn out.
