Game release: “Bonkies” (PC)

Studio Gauntlet and Crunching Koalas‘ construction builder in space rewards couch co-op play in a big way with monkeys.

I already gave this game a quick overview in the Past gaming events: gamescom 2020, Day 4 article, and the concept of monkeys being sent into space by humans in order to build things with the incentive of being given more bananas still looks and sounds as crazy as when I first lay eyes on it last year.

Just as with the Overcooked series, cooperation is key to completing each level with friends. Picking things up and trying to stack them on each other in a Tetris-kind of way might sound easy, but taking into account the weight of the objects and gravitation problems in space should make this much more difficult and just more fun, resulting in another screaming-at-each-other multiplayer hit.

The game is out now on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with a 20% launch discount that lasts until tomorrow, February 5, 2021, at 2 PM UTC. The digital soundtrack can also be bought separately.
