GOG free game: “XIII” with Spring Sale

GOG celebrates spring with a big sale and Ubisoft Paris Studios/Microids‘ cel-shaded spy thriller FPS XIII as a freebie.

XIII is a very unique title and a fun one I remember fondly playing back in the Noughties. It was already featured in the GOG celebrates 11th anniversary with 5 new games and promo sale article and I can’t praise it enough. While there has been a recent remake, it didn’t receive much love from either fans or the press. So this one is the real deal, featuring a great cel-shaded look, a perfect mix of comic book speech and explosion/shooting bubbles, stylized violence, and a suspenseful story that unfortunately hasn’t found a conclusion yet.

So make sure to grab the game before the offer expires tomorrow, April 1, 2021, at 1 PM UTC. While you’re at it, you can also browse through all the discounted titles of the GOG Spring Sale which lasts until April 5, 2021, at 1 PM UTC. The Soon to Bloom Collection is worth mentioning, too, as it compiles 25 free demos of upcoming or recently released games (that I’m pretty excited about as well).
