ZA/UM‘s open-world detective RPG Disco Elysium got even better with its The Final Cut edition.

With so many time-consuming games released, it becomes almost impossible to play them all, and even covering them in news articles can be hard. Why I’ve never written about this one is beyond my comprehension, as it’s a very special title indeed. Mixing detective adventure game and RPG elements, it’s quite innovative the way it handles dialogue systems that have a direct impact on character and story development.

The game was originally released in October 2019, but with the new The Final Cut version, it’s become more ambitious, including full voice acting, new political vision quests, full controller support, and visual upgrades, like 4K resolutions. It all adds to immersion and a game that I definitely have to take the time for reviewing in the near (or far future).

The game is out now on PC and PS4 with a 20% launch discount that lasts until April 9, 2021, at 5 PM UTC. Owners of the original title will receive The Final Cut as a free update.
