It’s time again to say goodbye to even more parts of my mouth.

After I got two of my upper teeth (one wisdom teeth and another one hidden behind it) removed on February 22, 2021 (see Milestone reached: Goodbye, two teeth), I finally had my much bigger and more complicated operation with five teeth out my mouth yesterday: three wisdom teeth and two superfluous ones behind others.
As the operation was around 11 am, involved a general instead of a regional anesthesia, with all four sides of my mouth being affected, I wasn’t up for much or any writing yesterday. More medication and not a lot of food meant not enough time or motivation to stay on the blog, obviously.
What’s probably the weirdest thing I remember before the full anesthesia kicked in was that I was asked where I wanted to go for vacation with my wife. I said, if the Coronavirus situation wouldn’t be a problem anymore, it would be Disneyland. I guess I meant Disney World, coupled with Magic Kingdom, and even Universal Studios. What I actually dreamt or rather woke up from was that I was finishing one or more of my game reviews. So much for the best sleep one could have…
I only remembered that I was ready to publish this one review and the anaesthesist woke me up before I could hit the button. And of course by checking my to-do list today, none of the game reviews were done. What a bummer. I’d have taken the trip to the theme parks anytime.
Anyway, let’s hope I won’t have to face another tooth (or any other) operation in the near future, as my swollen cheeks and many sutures will keep me occupied for the next two weeks for sure.
Thankfully my wife is taking care of me at home and I don’t have to do any other work (except for writing articles, obviously, but no talking and heavy office work). What’s also great: I got some review codes for some relaxing games from my GOG PR contact Marcin Traczyk. So even if I had done something during that anesthesia dream, the list would still not become any smaller.
