GOG release: “FATE: The Complete Adventure”

WildTangent Games‘ classic dungeon crawler compilation FATE: The Complete Adventure has accepted the DRM-free invitation by GOG.

FATE: The Complete Adventure includes four games that can also be bought separately: FATE (2005), FATE: Undiscovered Realms (2008), Fate: The Traitor Soul (2009), and Fate: The Cursed King (2011). Somehow these titles all passed me by, probably because the RPG and especially action-RPG market felt a bit saturated at that time.

Going into detail with all four titles would go too far, so let’s just list a few fun and distinct features: choosing from different pets and evolving them into more powerful allies to help in battle, importing characters from previous games, procedurally generated levels, lots of looting and selling, AI controlled companions to boost the party and chances of survival. While these look like Diablo clones, there’s still plenty of unadulterated fun to be had in a series that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

FATE: The Complete Adventure is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 65% launch discount that lasts until April 14, 2021, at 1 PM UTC, while the individual games are 50% off their original prices.
