Phosphor Game Studios‘ aerial shooter Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron – Flyboyz Edition makes a big boom impression on GOG.

The Warhammer 40K franchise has received quite a few games in various genres, as can be seen in the game release of “Warhammer 40K: Gladius – Relics of War” and the GOG free game: “Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War” articles, as well as in the Only on GOG Sale which featured many of titles. Now the RPG and RTS roots have been abandoned to create something even more exciting with Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron – Flyboyz Edition.

Taking to the skies as an Ork Flyboy, one chooses an Ork Clan, customizes one’s jet and completes missions that usually revolve around blasting away other planes, warships or ground targets. What sounds outlandishly different from the more popular genres the franchise has tackled so far is exactly why it’s so exciting, especially with some pretty good graphics. Being a space sim and more action-oriented flight sim fan, it’s probably the first game of this tabletop universe I really want to try out.

Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron – Flyboyz Edition was originally released in February 2021 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 10% launch discount that lasts until April 15, 2021, at 1 PM UTC.
