Dynamic Media Triad and Digital Tribe Games‘ surreal first-person adventure game Broken Reality makes fun of the internet on GOG.

I already covered another game of the developer/publisher cooperation (see the Game release: “Astrodogs” article), but Broken Reality is an older title that has been added to the DRM-free library. It couldn’t be any more different, though, with the player exploring the internet that is controlled by the supercorporation NATEM.

The graphics might be a relic of a bygone era, but the gameplay is certainly unique, as one is literally in the space of advertisements one can cut up with a katana, teleporting to other areas with bookmarks, and generally plays mini-games and quest-like adventures with avatars in a world that is as broken as the society it reflects, which might scarily be or become our own.

Broken Reality was originally released in November 2018 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 66% launch discount that lasts until April 19, 2021, at 1 PM UTC. If one already owns or buys Astrodogs, an additional 15% discount will be added to this purchase.
