Rogueside‘s cute missing objects game Hidden Through Time makes discovering them through the ages possible on GOG.

Hidden Through Time is a great example of how hidden objects games don’t have to be disguised as adventure games (some of which still work, like Dark Tales: Edgar Allen Poe’s The Gold Bug, others like Hidden Runaway not so much) and can break out of the mold of static screens.

The goal is still to find objects with Clicky (yes, the mouse cursor is actually the protagonist!) shown on the bottom of the screen, but now it’s through various historical epochs and with some lovely hand-drawn backgrounds and characters that burst with life. Deciphering cryptic hints is essential to discover all the hidden things, animals or people, and if this isn’t enough, then one can even create one’s own levels with a map editor and share them with other users.

Hidden Through Time was originally released in March 2020 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 10% launch discount that lasts until April 29, 2021, at 1 PM UTC. If one is up for more point-and-clicking, then the Viking Tales, Legends of Japan, or the recently released Road to Rome DLCs can be bought separately, too, and except for the last expansion, they all have the same discount.
