Epic Games Store free games: “Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead” and “Ironcast”

Epic Games Store‘s two new free games are ClockStone/Headup‘s physics-based puzzle game Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead and Dreadbit/Ripstone‘s turn-based sci-fi strategy title Ironcast.

Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead is another entry in the long-running puzzler series (see GOG releases: “Bridge Constructor Playground” and “Bridge Constructor Stunts”), only backed up by the gory TV show this time.

This obviously means lots of zombies that are ready to devour a group of survivors if one doesn’t build bridges and other constructions to get the latter safely across precipices. It also involves some splatter and bloody smears on the ground.

Ironcast takes place in an alternative Victorian 1880ies timeline where walking war machines are used to dispose of the British Empire’s enemies.

The steampunk setting isn’t the only selling point, as the combat system is highly flexible, because one generates resource nodes to drive weapons and individual systems. So deciding if one spends them in an offensive or defensive way is the key to success.

Both games can now be added to the Epic Games Store account for free until tomorrow, July 15, 2021, at 5:00 PM.
