Magic Notion Ltd‘s tongue-in-cheek dating simulation games Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker and Kitty Powers’ Love Life make their lovely DRM-free appearance on GOG.
Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker, published in April 2015, gives players a chance to manage a matchmaking agency, although the big boss remains drag queen diva Kitty Powers. What sounds a bit trash-y is exactly that: matching desperate clients with candidates from Kitty’s black book.
Weird conversations and moments are a given, but the more one is successful in bringing potential candidates of love together, the more one can upgrade and expand the agency. This obviously involves a lot of research for upcoming dates, based on the individual interests, personalities, appearances and incomes.
Kitty Powers’ Love Life, published in February 2018, takes things a bit further, as it involves a whole village one has to build and run for newly matched couples to be happy.
These so-called Love Villages have their own libraries, night clubs, and shopping malls, but also a 24-hour therapist, which again highlights the humorous vibe of the series. Spotting relationship problems and helping people to keep a healthy love life makes this a more risqué version of The Sims.
Both games are now available DRM-free on GOG with 50% launch discounts that last until tomorrow, July 17, 2021, at 1 PM UTC.
