French games are always something special, so GOG celebrates the country’s developers and publishers with a French Touch sale and three new DRM-free additions.
I already mentioned the French games sale when I discussed the GOG free games: “Syberia” and “Syberia II”, and what better way to start this short overview than with Sunny Peak’s poetic platformer Symphonia which is available for free as well?
As a violinist, one helps to awaken and shape a forsaken world, making for a wonderfully sounding and looking platformer.
Enodo Games‘ city construction game The Architect: Paris is still in development, but looks quite ambitious, with its aim to give players the tools to turn the capital into a medieval or futuristic city.
Unlike so many other city building games, one focuses on the architectural side of it instead of economics. It’s like a LEGO tool set at one’s disposal, with only one’s imagination being the limit (and probably the engine).
Last but not least, Redlock Studio‘s open-world action-platformer Shattered: Tale of the Forgotten King, published in February 2021, offers an epic adventure about a Wanderer who tries to find the fragments of reality to learn more about the disappearance of the King and the downfall of the world.
Combat and platforming in an artful world full of mystery as well as many branching paths and secrets should be enough incentives to dive into, as 3D and 2.5D battles are something to behold as well.
Symphonia seems to stay as a freebie, The Architect: Paris has a 15% discount, while Shattered: Tale of the Forgotten King is 35% off its original price until July 19, 2021, at 1 PM UTC. Of course the French Touch sale features many more interesting titles until that same date.
