GOG release: “Ancient Enemy”

Grey Alien Games‘ strategic solitaire card RPG Ancient Enemy makes a DRM-free turn on GOG.

Solitaire is one of the oldest card games many older gamers will have played during the early Microsoft Windows times, but mixing it with the fantasy and RPG genre in particularly is a match made in heaven. Ancient Enemy is rather light on storytelling, though, as it throws monsters and other enemies against the player which come from a world of pure evil, with the ultimate goal to reach a citadel to defeat it forever.

The combat is turn-based and mixes solitaire gameplay with enhanced magic abilities. Inspired by titles like Darkest Dungeon and Slay The Spire, it might not reinvent the genre, but offers enough challenges to new and old players alike.

Ancient Enemy was originally released in April 2020 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 50% launch discount that lasts until July 24, 2021, at 1 PM UTC.
