GOG release: “9th Dawn III”

Valorware‘s open-world RPG/dungeon crawler 9th Dawn III is massively DRM-free on GOG.

9th Dawn III shows that it’s still possible to have a huge open-world with lots of enemies to battle in the indie space, as one traverses the lands of Cedaltia to investigate ghostly sightings around the lake of Elmson. One soon ends up in ancient fortresses, dungeons, swamps and other fantasy settings with an overwhelming number of beasties to defeat.

The amount of content is staggeringly high, with over 270 monsters, 1400 items, 300 weapons, 550 pieces of armor and accessories. So customization is a given, while there are other activities in addition to fighting, like fishing, cooking food, etc.. It all looks rather chaotic, but also a lot of fun, especially with the optional local co-op multiplayer mode.

9th Dawn III was originally released in October 2020 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 50% launch discount that lasts until July 26, 2021, at 1 PM UTC.
