GOG release: “Blue Fire”

Robi Studios and Graffiti Games‘ 3D action-platformer Blue Fire comes to DRM-free light on GOG.

Blue Fire is set in the kingdom of the long-forgotten kingdom of Penumbra where a warrior tries to survive both the environment and enemies, which involves lots of jumping, dashing, and fighting.

If this sounds rather light on storytelling, it probably is, although the world of Penumbra still looks quite enticing, especially as one can find the lost land The Void which offers even more abstract platforming challenges. One can also upgrade one’s weaponry or unlock new abilities, while doing a few side quests along the way, turning the game more into an action-adventure not unlike a certain The Legend of Zelda.

Blue Fire was originally released in February 2021 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 40% launch discount that lasts until July 30, 2021, at 1 PM UTC.
